About Mark Tibeau, EAMP, L.Ac. Mark Tibeau, L.Ac. has been involved in Chinese Medicine for more than
18 years. He has been practicing in Seattle and the Ballard
neighborhood for 15 years. He is certified as a Traditional Five Element Acupuncturist, and he holds a Master of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Bastyr University.
He is a native of the Northwest and the Covington / Black
Diamond area, graduating from Kentwood High School and
Washington State University with a Bachelor of Science in
Biochemistry and Biophysics.
Mark served as a Core Faculty Member at the Wu Hsing Tao School
for seven years, where he taught masters level
classes, point location practicum, and clinic intern
supervision. He served for five years as a member of the board
and three years as Vice President of the Washington East Asian Medicine Association (WEAMA, formerly WAOMA, Washington Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Association). He also served
two years as an Adjunct Clinical Faculty Member at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health,
supervising acupuncture graduate students. He has also
worked at the Seattle Cancer Treatment and Wellness Center.
Currently, Mark is creating and directing a Specialty
Acupuncture Training Clinic that provides treatment focusing
on specialty treatment, such as Post Traumatic Stress
Disorder (PTSD), in a graduate and post-graduate teaching
environment. The clinic is comprised of apprentices,
graduate student interns and recent graduates to give
greater public access to Five Element Acupuncture in a
Community Clinic setting, and to encourage greater awareness
of Five Element Acupuncture.
